چکیده
Introduction: Aqueous leave extract of Tridax procumbens (AETPL) is reported to improve erectile functions; however, the mechanism unclear. This study investigates involved in contractile activity corpus cavernosum after AETPL treatment paroxetine-induced dysfunctional adult male Wistar rats.
Methods: A total 20 rats were categorized into four groups five and treated orally for weeks: Group 1 (distilled water), 2 (paroxetine 10 mg/kg), 3 + 100 4 Viagra 0.5 mg/kg). Contractile responses excised strips (CS) determined response acetylcholine (ACh), phenylephrine (PHE), potassium chloride (KCl), calcium (CaCl2), incubation L-NAME, indomethacin, nifedipine, adenosine, caffeine, nicorandil, acetovanillone.
Results: The relaxation (%) CS ACh was significantly inhibited paroxetine group compared AETPL- Viagra-co-treated group. Pre-incubation L-NAME considerably enhanced percentage co-treated with Viagra. Groups contraction cumulative doses CaCl2. PHE caffeine adenosine Similarly, nicorandil (10-4 M) (10-9 — 10-5 pre-incubation acetovanillone across groups.
Conclusion: Erectile dysfunction reversed by AETPL-induced antioxidant/NADPH oxidase inhibitor activity, reduced sensitivity, activation ATP-sensitive K+ channel, endothelial Nitric Oxide (NO) release.

Introduction: Olive leaf contains anti-inflammatory and COX-2 inhibitor compounds. Considering the role of the COX enzyme in seizures, this research was performed to assess the effects of this extract in treatment of seizures induced by PTZ. Methods: In this research, male Wistar rats (200±20 g) were injected intra-cerebroventricularly with 1 μl saline or olive leaf extract (125 μg, 250 μg ...
